We encourage all individuals, groups, wards and hospitals to fundraise for TheRockinR. With over 670 Gaming Carts in more than 135 hospitals across the UK and Ireland, TheRockinR Gaming Charity supports over a million children and young people each year! We need your help to keep the Gaming Carts in tip-top shape, so they can continue to benefit patients and families for many years to come.
Hospital wards and waiting areas are busy environments with many patients coming and going. Thousands of children and families use one Gaming Cart every year, resulting in natural wear and tear and a need for maintenance.
Your generous donation will help fund repairs for existing gaming carts that are out of service and require some TLC. It will also support technical assistance and education for the NHS, ensuring that healthcare professionals can provide patients with the best hospital gaming experience.
Sustainability is our primary mission. As time passes, consoles reach the end of their lifespan, controllers break from consistent use, and components may become worn out. Every gaming cart that is out of service or unused to its full potential affects an average hospital experience of 2,190 children and young people per year.
Many of our Gaming Carts are up to seven years old, and while it is impressive that they still function after being played so much, the NHS does not have the funding to replace essential components due to wear and tear.
Our goal is to ensure that as many children and young people as possible continue to benefit from TheRockinR Gaming Carts for years to come. Together, we can continue bringing the latest gaming to children and young people in hospitals throughout the UK & Ireland.
You can fundraise in any way you’d like; our only rule is that you have fun doing it!
You could start a GoFundMe, Just Giving campaign, or a simplistic collection. If you are donating funds directly to us, you can do this via Bank Transfer, PayPal Giving, etc. Whichever method you feel the most comfortable with.

Donations made to TheRockinR help support children and young people in hospitals throughout the UK and Ireland. Your contribution enables us to maintain and sustain existing Medical Gaming Carts. These carts help so many young patients cope with hospital stays and visits by minimising the effects of stress and anxiety, whilst offering a sense of normality and distraction to medical treatments and procedures.
