When the gaming monitor turns on, the gaming cart is powered up. This means the power issue lies with the Xbox console, not the coiled mains wire.
After consistent use (and abuse) over many years, the Xbox One S consoles get to a point where they refuse to turn on. If there is no visible damage to the Xbox wiring, we can conclude that your Xbox One S console has come to the end of its life, typically around the five/six-year mark.
In the worst-case scenario, your gaming cart will need a replacement Xbox console and new wiring, which will be chargeable. We always install the latest console to date, so this would be an upgrade and will keep running for many more years.
The good news is that we can use your existing Microsoft account (with the same games), so purchasing anything else wouldn’t be necessary. However, we offer a service called TheRockinR Revamp, which we would recommend for an old, outdated console.
Please contact us via the Technical Support Form if you would like to request a quotation for a new Xbox console.
For details on the manufacturer’s and extended warranty from TheRockinR, please see our Warranties FAQ.
If there is no power whatsoever on your gaming cart, the issue is likely the power cable. Please check our Power Cable Troubleshooting FAQ to ensure the power cable has not dislodged from overstretching before contacting us.
If there is a genuine fault with your power cable, please let us know, and we will either visit your hospital to replace it or post one out to you, which can be fitted by the hospital staff.
